David is Fine. And even if he weren't Fine, he wouldn't tell you. In fact, he's so very Fine that he's making an effort of actually talking to people after telling his Suit that their Queen had abandoned them, and gathering the other royals to give them the news.

Those had both been very stressful.

Surprise, surprise, Asarlai can be found without his ubiquitous companion. He's apparently decided to get in some last-minute Christmas shopping and is visiting all of the very quaint town shops. So the Deck's lovely guests got Rachel remembering rhymes and stories from her childhood and  after speaking with Ceiro about it, she decided to go out and talk with some of the Deck!born kids to try to dig up more.

It wasn't often that the king of diamonds showed his more serious side. Even rarer that he showed any hint towards why he remained king despite his apparent candy floss manner.
